Can you shiv enraged regeneration

Post by Bryanj That being said, you guys win. Ignoring a question or just telling someone to figure it out doesn't teach anything. I'm glad I asked the question. The answer must have been harder to find than you thought because even you Post by This post was from a user who has deleted their account. I don't know about every tank's Vengeance and since I cannot test anything right now, you guys will have to do raw work, haha. View source. History Talk 0. For other uses, see enrage.

By the time a backstab rogue has the combo points for a full eviscerate,I can get a full eviscerate off,a full kidney shot off,and be starting on and coming through with my combo points for a slice and dice. Also,if your fighting casters in arena, this messes with their casting by hitting them more often than normal, and unless they have a good resistance to interuption,it will hurt their casting bad.

This is useful for getting combo points together to quickly get off a slice and dice in arena for your white damage though. I have one question though, does the poison application from shiv go through blade furry and jump if it causes instant damage. To me it appears that it does, just need someone else's opinion. Comment by Pingone Great for those arena fights when you dont have a mortal strike warrior, just shiv to keep 5 stacks of wound poison applied on the target.

Comment by brock Have any of you ever seen Shiv blocked, dodged or parried? I've been watching closely and have not seen any shivs mitigated that way. This possible hidden bonus adds a lot to shiv's utility. I'll do more testing and get back. Comment by This is great to gain more control.

Comment by Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but shiv is excellent for facing other rogues. Shiv is a non-dodgeable attack, so if youre fighting a rogue that has evasion on, spam away with shiv, you'll soon work up enough combo points to hit em with a 5 point finisher my pref is kidney shot, becausei have combat potency.

While in theory, this idea sounds great, it does not work in practice. Therefore, this "instant" rogue hamstring would actually take over 4 seconds to use, and get back to your regular weapon. While this global cooldown is up, you cannot use any of your other abilities. You're better off just using your normal weapon. Also its awesome melee attack after being disarmed against warriors or rogues. I have 2 reasons. First you deal part physical part nature dmg. Second its much cheaper than SS since with a dagger me with the gladiator shiv i spend 34 energy.

Comment by Corbon Many Arena Rogues have a weapon chain attached to their offhand, making this point irrelevant. Since the initial Shiv costs about as much as a Hemo Strike, it probably bogs down to the question whether the probably higher? Side note: AFAIK most if not all mobs who are immune vs bleeding are also immune vs poison skeletons, mechanical constructs, elementals, etc.

Comment by Darthius Can anyone tell me if there is any reason why Shiv wouldn't work on Elites? I tried it on 4 Elites in the area with the same result Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out..! Comment by Starting with patch 2. The changes to the combat log revealed some problems with how this spell is coded and it is being worked on. Comment by Jelaku A good tip with shiv: MH: wound OH: crip In a pvp situation such as arenas you want to snare your target immediately, and do so by first shiving your target.

After this, with a macro have it switch your MH and OH, and then stack up to 5 wounds with more shivs. This will allow you to gain the 5stack wound poison much faster, and then switch back to cripple when necessary, although it is ideal if you have two fast OH weapons one kept in your inventory for this as obviously if you are a hemo spec you don't want to have the fast OH in your MH slot.

This is a technique used by many rogues in higher brackets AKA: the ones who are good. Comment by Allakhazam Depending on your sword and what kind of poison, this attack skill may very well be even more potent then sinister strike for combat rogues 1. Now if you add something like anesthetic or instant poison For 6 less energy, you can expect to spam this quite a bit.

Comment by Allakhazam By far the most useful rogue ability if you're unlucky with poisons. An instant 'slow the hell down' attack if you use Cripple Poison quite a bit. Guardian of the First Ones.
